Overview

Farm Fest was conceived as,an outdoor community event designed to bring people together to celebrate music, local food and drink, and a variety of stalls.

Farm Fest was one of the first independent events created, outside of Leeds, which led to the establishment of Twisted Events

The challenge in the first year was to organise this event within a tight six-week timeframe, securing all acts, vendors, licenses, and insurance, as well as promoting and selling the event.

This case study highlights my ability to execute under tight deadlines and achieve desired results.

Delivery

Farm Fest was developed from concept to execution, with promotion carried out via a dedicated Facebook page and outdoor printed materials.

I also created press releases for local media and secured a Heart FM I-Van to target residents within a 10-mile radius of Mirfield.

Results

This event attracted over 600 visitors, a significant achievement given the short preparation period.

The positive post-event feedback from attendees facilitated the planning and expansion of a second event scheduled for 2024.

The Facebook page reached 26,769 people and generated 7,889 post engagements within six weeks, all on a minimal budget supported by local sponsors.

This event exemplifies The Twisted Events’ ‘can do’ business attitude, embracing challenges and delighting in creating memorable experiences for our community.
